What this covers

Course Design Training, as we run it.

  • AQF alignment - levels, volume of learning and qualification nomenclature
  • Learning outcomes that are assessable, levelled and honest
  • Course architecture - structure, units, pathways and exit points
  • Design documentation - specifications that satisfy internal and external reviewers
  • Design for delivery modes - on campus, online and blended parity
  • Working with scholarship - currency and comparators in design evidence
How it runs

Three movements, in order.

01

Study

Short, sharp input sessions on the framework mechanics of good design.

02

Studio

Your team designs and documents a real course component under facilitation.

03

Review

Peer and facilitator review against the standard internal approvers apply.

Scheduling. Sessions run on a rolling calendar - dates for the next intake are confirmed on registration. Tell us your timeframe and we will match you to the next available session or arrange an in-house delivery.
What you receive

What participants take back to campus.

How our programs are built. Every AHEG Skills program is written by practitioners who advise higher education providers year-round, and is anchored in the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021 where the framework applies. Programs build capability; they do not confer regulatory outcomes or endorsements.
Next step

Bring course design training to your team.

Public sessions run on a rolling calendar; in-house deliveries are shaped around your provider.
